Adjective Clause

Pengertian:

Adjective Clause (Relative Clause) adalah klausa dependen yang berfungsi sebagai kata sifat, yaitu menjelaskan, mengidentifikasi, atau memberikan informasi tambahan tentang noun (kata benda).

Jenis Clause:

1. Independent Clause → Kalimat lengkap yang memiliki subjek dan predikat.
2. Dependent Clause → Kalimat tidak lengkap yang harus terhubung dengan independent clause.

Relative Pronouns dalam Adjective Clause

Relative pronoun digunakan untuk menghubungkan dependent clause dengan independent clause.

Subject Relative Pronouns

Digunakan saat pronoun menggantikan subjek dalam dependent clause.

That	Untuk orang, benda, atau hewan sebagai subjek	Route 66 is a road that goes from Chicago to California.

2. Object Relative Pronouns

Digunakan saat pronoun menggantikan objek dalam dependent clause.

That	Untuk orang, benda, atau hewan sebagai objek	The postcard that I bought shows a beautiful view.

3. Possessive Relative Pronoun
